Sourcery

The eight son of the wizard becames a natural source of magic, a sourcerer. This fact, not commonly known among wizards, is the true, forgotten reason they live in celibacy. But one of them, an outcast, becames father for the eighth time, and then, after escaping from Death, he becames the guide of the last Sourcerer. The Discworld will be in serious trouble.

Wizards became too powerful and strive for power over the World. This results in Mage War. The previous one took place many centuries before and most of inhabitable places on Disc are the result.

The situation would have ended fatally, if three heroes at the right moment hadn't accidentally stolen the horses of the Raiders of the Apocralypse, who in the result landed in the bar and drunk enough to forget about whole World, including its End.

And the undefeatable Sourcerer can be faced only by Rincewind, noone else is naive enough.
