I find this book really good; when I read it (as well as every other Tolkien's book) I have an impression that this world really existed, and Tolkien was noone but the annalist. When you read Silmarillion, it's hard to believe that this world has been created in one modest professor's mind...
I agree with Idril, it's a good book. I have read it many times and each time I discover something new.
