The Spell of the Black Dagger

The story of a thief who stolen the secret noone had before, what made her powerful enough to threaten the mightiest wizards and rulers of the city. The story of young minister of justice, who attempts to capture the thief, but then faces the temptation of steeling the same power. The story of magicians trying to restore the order but making chaos bigger and creating enough new magical problems for another story.

In my opinion, this is an extremely interesting book. I would almost doubt if this is more interesting than my favourite With A Single Spell. The story starts with something like a crime story in fantasy setting, and then the serious magical issues are developed, and the attempts to solve them result in the escalation of the issues. Some of them are likely to create an interesting sequel someday.
