The Return of the King says about the end of Third Era of Middle-earth. We go to Gondor, where the regent appears to fall in madness. The world is covered with horrible darkness, with Nazguls flying around, threatening even the bravest warriors. The war of the fate of Middle-earth begins.

The king of Rohan takes his way to help Gondor, while Aragorn takes his way throung Path of the Dead, from noone ever returned, in order to win the ghastly allies.

Under Minnas Tirith, on Pelenor fields, the armies of people from Gondor and Rohan will face the army of Sauron's monsters, and even the smallest will have their opportunity to fight and win their fame.

In the meantime, in Mordor, under The Mount of Destiny, the Ring Bearer will have to complete his mission, this or other way.

Will the darkness dissipate, and the power of Sauron fall? Will the legitimate king come in time? And whatever will happen, everything has an end, even the most persistent will pass, or go to the Gray Docks...

Readers' comments

The action, quite fast and exciting already in Two Towers, in The Return of the King get an enormous scale, while fate of nations of Middle-earth is put on the edge and our well known heroes have their opportunity to decide about them. Gandalf, once defeated by Saruman, now too powerful to spend much time fighting him. Impressive, immense battles, and at the same time Frodo's mission in deepest concealment, all leading to the ultimate solution of the war with Sauron.
